Caitlin has performed in theatrical productions since age 6. For the majority of her childhood, life was essentially defined by what show(s) she was in. It would be truly ridiculous to list everything, but some highlights include:

  • Julia Child in Lee Hoiby’s Bon Appétit

  • Charlotte in Michael John LaChiusa’s Little Fish

  • Aldonza (Man of la Mancha)

  • Carrie Pipperidge (Carousel)

  • Eliza Doolittle (Pygmalion)

  • various roles in a production of Romeo & Juliet reimagined by Sasha (Velour) Steinberg & Sarah Rose Kearns

  • A role in a reading of Kate Anderson & Elyssa Samsel’s Camp-Wish-No-More

  • a role in Naomi Iizuka’s Good Kids

  • Eponine & Cosette (Les Miserables)

  • Cinderella & Little Red Ridinghood (Into the Woods)

  • Kathy (Company)

  • Mayzie LaBird (Seussical)

She also was gifted opportunities to perform roles in operas, oratorios and other classical works since childhood (Noye’s Fludde - Britten, Hansel & Gretel - Humperdinck, The Marriage of Figaro - Mozart, Carmina Burana - Orff, Stabat Mater - Pergolesi) and has continued to do so in New York City in featured chorus roles with Loft Opera (Tosca) & Amore Opera (La Traviata).

Many of the performances highlighted above are pictured around this site.

Cabaret and Concert

Caitlin grew up in a musical household where her mother taught voice and piano privately. This allowed her regular opportunity to perform for rooms of people from a tender age. Needless to say, she always took advantage.

She has been a professional multi-genre soloist performing repertoire from Opera, Classical, Sacred & Oratorio, American Songbook, and Broadway for going on 20 years.

Solo Concert Highlights:

  • Mealor Requiem Premiere at Carnegie Hall (Stern/Perelman)

  • Summer Streets Organ Festival (NYC)

  • Stranger in the Garden (Buck McDaniel) Premiere at The Actor’s Temple (NYC)

  • Mezzo Soloist for Aaron Copland’s “In the Beginning” with The New York Chamber Choir

  • El Taller Latino Americano (NYC)

  • Music @ Noon series at The New York Society for Ethical Culture

  • Sing for Hope @ Port Authority (NYC)

  • The Redeemer Concert Series (Astoria, NY)

  • The NYC Downtown Men’s Glee Club

  • NYU Composer’s Collective

She also been an avid choral singer since childhood beginning with the Central Illinois Children’s Chorus. More recently she has sung with the New York Chamber Choir, was a Canterbury Downtown Choral Scholar @ NYU, a founding member of early-music vocal ensemble, Musica Vera NYC, and is now a member of the NY Philharmonic Chorus under the direction of Dr. Malcolm J. Merriweather.

Cabaret

Caitlin’s cabaret career began in junior high when a local musician and educator, Daniel J. Perrino, heard about her from a friend who had seen her perform in a musical. Dan’s amazing musical life had included leading army bands in WWII, traveling the world playing with his jazz band: Medicare 7, 8, or 9, and then being the Dean of the School of Music at the University of Illinois. However, after retirement, he had been mentoring young singers in the art of cabaret style singing and performance. So far his mentees had by and large been promising students from the University of Illinois’ vocal performance program. However, when Caitlin came over to sing for he and his wife, Marge, a partnership was born that changed her life forever. Dan gifted Caitlin with incredible jazz pianists who could play in any key, his lifetime of experience and almost non-stop performance opportunities to do 30 to 90 minute cabarets showcasing music of the Gershwins, Cole Porter and other American Songbook standards for audiences of 10-500.
